Beth Hatcher, PhD Child Development

Dr. Beth Hatcher is a writer and early childhood specialist. After a career as a university professor, program administrator and educator, she devotes her time to writing and professional development training and workshops. She is the author of numerous scholarly and popular articles in early childhood, including a new preK math curriculum created for Maine’s Department of Education. Beth’s background in active leadership roles in congregations of The Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church, the United Church of Christ/Congregational Church and the Presbyterian Church USA are foundational to her spiritual curiosity and dedication to faith-based growth. Her extensive professional experiences informs her lifelong passion for applying her Christian faith to contemporary life. The roles of nature and play in human development add dimension to her current devotional writing that features the power of creativity as found in the Creator God. Her writings draw from her life experiences in Maine and Texas, and her international travels.
